Many sick animals have internal medical problems that can be addressed by our veterinary staff.  Most are mild, but when more serious medical problems arise, we can aggressively manage these patients by doing blood profiles, other laboratory testing, fluid and electrolyte therapy, or diagnostic imaging.  Some of the diseases we see are: Diabetes Cushing's Disease Congestive heart failure Hypothyroidism  Hyperthyroidism Asthma    Addison’s Disease Renal Disease Anemias

Skin problems are sometimes troublesome conditions that are distressing for the pet and the owner.  Our dermatology services include allergy testing, scrapings, cultures, and biopsies.  Special shampoos and other therapeutic remedies are also available. Parasites: We recommend annual fecal and heartworm tests to prevent infestation and environmental contamination.  Many new products facilitate easy control of unwanted pests. Pain management: Over the past few years we have seen the emergence of fantastic pain relief medications.  We routinely use pain control after surgery and other painful events.  Pets with acute or chronic pain can get relief through carefully monitored pharmaceuticals allowing them to enjoy a more mobile life. Other services include microchip identification with the Avid system.
